Monday, November 20th, 2006

Paula K. Spurlock has gone to heaven to be with her loving husband, Jim after a courageous battle with cancer. Paula passed away on Monday, November 20, 2006 at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley at the age of 59 years.
She was born on August 1, 1947 in South Dakota, the daughter of DeLloyd and Pauline Howard Grevoy.
As a young child she moved to Renton, Washington with her family and there she was raised and attended school.
She was united in marriage to James Spurlock on June 26, 1965 in Renton, and they made their home in Sedro-Woolley for 13 years when they moved to Marblemount in 1978 where Paula worked for the Mountain Song Restaurant, the Marblemount Mercantile and Merv’s Service Station. She also was very proud of her service to the community for many years as a voting precinct supervisor where she loved visiting with everyone.
She loved music, hiking, traveling and exploring new places with her family and grandchildren. Paula’s faith in her loving God remained firm to her last breath.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Carol Turnbull and her husband, Jon of Sedro-Woolley and Julie Bodah and her husband, Robert of Everett. 4 grandchildren, Kevin and Erica Turnbull and Kyle and Tyler Bodah. 3 sisters, Penny Taylor of Renton, Toy Royer and her husband, David of Sweethome, OR, and Tracy Randall-Grebb of Kentucky. 2 brothers, Brian Randall of Corvallis, OR and Charles Randal of Twin Falls, ID. 2 sister-in-laws, Patricia Munroe and Linda Milbourn both of Sedro-Woolley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 1996, her parents and step-father, Ken Randall, 1 brother, Lloyd Grevoy and a brother-in-law, Don Munroe.
