Phyllis L. Boston, age 85, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. She was born December 31, 1922 in Rochester, New York to J.R. and Helen Barrett Hunter.
Phyllis grew up in New York attending school and on December 23, 1939, she was married to Charles L. Boston in Vicksburg, Mississippi. They resided in Seattle until moving to Clear Lake in 1952. Phyllis worked as an LPN at Northern State Hospital for 15 years and later worked at Burtons Care Center for 5 years. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, taking care of people, and being an active member of Clear Lake Community Covenant Church.
Phyllis is survived by her 6 children; Charles L. Boston Jr. and his wife Sharon of Colville, WA, Betty Wendish and her husband Ressie of Sedro-Woolley, Bill Boston and his wife Loretta of Clear Lake, Margaret Boston of Clear Lake, Nancy Breier and her husband Joe of Lake Ariel, PA, and Don Boston and his wife Gail of Sedro-Woolley. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. A sister-in-law; Eldora Hunter of Sedro-Woolley.
Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville, WA with Pastor Tim Hedberg of the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church officiating. Memorials are suggested to Skagit Hospice. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
I love my aunt Phyllis and rememeber her smiles, and laughter she alway had a good word for every one. I just thank her for helping to look out for my mother Eldora and I will never forget her for that and being so good to my dad Bill her brother she love them both a lot. I LOVE YOU LOTS
