Reba Moore, age 87, a resident of the Hillsview Apartments since 1993, passed away on November 11, 2017 at Skagit Valley Hospital.
She was born on February 26, 1930 to Ralph “Stogie” and Nancy (Earley) Parker in Sylva, North Carolina.
In 1942 she moved to the Skagit Valley and on January 6, 1947 she and Wiley Moore were united in marriage.
She enjoyed picking little wild blackberries, making sauerkraut, clam digging on the coast, quilting, gardening and cooking. She cooked dinners at Hillsview and was known for her Tarheel beans, cornbread, and biscuits and gravy. Reba’s life was dedicated to her family; she enjoyed nothing more than family BBQ’s and spending time with her loved ones.
Reba is survived by her sons, Willis Moore and his wife Paula and Marcus Moore and his wife Mary; daughter, Trish “Sissy” Couch and her husband Mike; brothers, Larry & Lloyd Parker; sister, Edna Roberts; grandchildren, Nikki, Becky, Chad, and Ryan Moore, Shelly (Kenny) Wright, Marie Benfit, Matt (Anjel) Moore, Melony LaRue, Mandy (Tom) Smith, James (Natalie) Knott and Jared Couch; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley in 1982; parents, Ralph “Stogie” and Nancy Parker; brother, Guy Parker and sister, Della Bird.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the NW Missionary Baptist Church, 34473 Hamilton Cemetery Road, Sedro-Woolley, (Hamilton) WA, followed by a Committal Service at the Lyman Cemetery and a reception at the Lyman Fire Hall.
