Richard Bockenkamp, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at home in Concrete, Washington. He was born on July 10, 1950 in Shelby Montana, raised in Anacortes, Washington, and settling in Concrete. Richard was an U.S. Air Force Veteran.

Richard is survived by his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Annette and John Hornsby, of Oak Harbor, WA, William and Patricia Bockenkamp of Edmonds, WA Susan Donnell of Beeville, TX, Helen and Gary Stephens, of Arnold, CA, Lawrence and Donna Bockenkamp of Gig Harbor, WA, Jean and Steven Spaulding of Everett, WA, Steven and Cathy Bockenkamp of Traverse City, MI Barry Bockenkamp of Concrete, WA, Brian Bockenkamp of Eatonville, WA,  Gregory Bonkenkamp of Mount Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Herman (Bocky) Susan Bockenkamp; brothers, Clifford Bockenkamp, David Bockenkamp, and Garry Bockenkamp.

A private family inurnment will be held in Montana at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

    I was sorry to see that Richard had passed away ~ I have fond memories growing up as a kid with your family and those in the “neighborhood”.
    One thing that I always admired about Richard was that he served his country, and lived his life as he wanted to. I haven’t seen him in many years, but when I did he always had that big grin smile from ear to ear and a hug for me.
    I hope he was able to find happiness ~ praying for your family and sending hugs…
