Gary and I are so sorry you have lost your dear father. I met Dick and JoAnna when I was in the first grade, and they remained the same through all the years I have known them. Your parents were always so kind and happy to see both of us. Words just don’t express our sympathy.

  • Kari Gray

What a wonderful man of honesty and integrity. He meant the world to do many people. My husband Marv Gray and Dick were childhood friends and reunited after many years and found out that they had the same passion for Jazz. It was the highlight of my husband’s life. We were snowbirds like Dick and Joanna and had many fun times in the desert. He helped me so much when my husband passed on. My husband always said that Dick married the prettiest girl from Sedro Woolley. They adored their children and grandchildren. Such fond memories bring tears to my eyes. I, like so many, know that Dick can never be replaced. He and Many are reunited in heaven and Marv and Dick will continue their love for Jazz forever now. So sad. Love to Joanna, who we all adore. Strength and courage to all. Dick was one of a kind. I will miss his presence terribly. Love to the family, I am presently in the desert so cannot make the memorial. Sincerely, Kari Gray.

Rick, I didn’t know your dad well but I know from all the people who did know him that he was a treasure to this community. People who give back as much as he has are rare indeed. You have my deepest sympathies. I hope your family can reflect and focus on all the good times and accomplishments of his life and take comfort in his memory.
