ROBERT E. HOFFMAN, 62, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 15, 2006.
Bob was born on February 1, 1944, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Julius and Ruth Hoffman Ahrens.
He was raised in New Castle, Nebraska and there attended school until enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1961 at the age of 17. He served aboard the U.S.S. Salisbury and for a time was stationed off the coast of Viet Nam. He was also stationed at N.A.S. Whidbey in Oak Harbor, which is where he met Barbara Riggles, and after a 2
