Robert Roy Benham, 84, of Sedro Woolley Washington passed away peacefully on December 22, 2016 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.

He was born on May 27, 1930 in Mount Vernon to Roy and Gladys Benham. Robert grew up on the family dairy farm near Beaver Lake and graduated with the Sedro Woolley class of 1950.  He then joined the Army in 1952 with his first station being in Japan. Robert served in the Korean War and fought at the Battle of acheter viagra Pork Chop Hill where he was awarded the Purple Heart. After his honorable discharge, he came home to run the family farm and did so until his retirement earning many awards.

After his retirement, he moved to Sedro Woolley and started the next chapter of his life by purchasing a fishing resort on Puntzi Lake in Canada. After running the resort for a few years, he moved back and retired in Sedro Woolley. Bob was an avid fan of Sedro Woolley sports as well as his beloved Seahawks. He and his friend Robert Smith enjoyed many fishing expeditions around the Northwest.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by numerous cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Lemley Chapel, followed by a Committal Service with Military Honors at Union Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given in Roberts name to the Sedro Woolley High School Athletic Fund, 1231 Third St., Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.  Arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel.
