Sandra ‘Sandi’ Jo (Dellinger) Castano, 52, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 14, 2018, 4:20 AM.

Sandi was born in Sedro-Woolley on August 5, 1966, the second daughter of Daniel and Mary Jo (Parker) Dellinger.  She was born on her sister, Sheila’s first birthday; they have always shared a special bond.  She attended Concrete High School.  On October 14, 2000, she married Steven Castano.  Sandi worked at Josephine Caring Community for 33 years.  She enjoyed gardening, cross stitching, coloring, shopping on Zulily, going on trips with Steven on the Harley, collecting pumpkins and most of all, camping.  She was a member of the Skagit H.O.G. Chapter, which was so enjoyable for her.  Her Harley friends were her family and so very important to her.

Sandi is survived by her husband, Steven Castano; mother, Mary Jo Dellinger; stepson, Tyler Castano (Kelly); grandchildren, Tanis and Bo Castano; sister, Sheila (Dellinger) Wright (Jim); nephews, Daniel Wright (Lindsey) and Kevin Wright; great niece, Reagan Wright; uncle Sam; aunt Linda; cat, Penny Kitty Meow; numerous cousins and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Boone Dellinger.

At Sandi’s request there will be no services at this time.  Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

I am so sad to hear this news. My heart goes to the rest of the family. There are so many memories of when we were very young. Playing and building tree forts in Concrete and riding bikes with Sandi and Shiela, down by their house where they grew up. I did not realize Sandi had been sick. I will especially miss her.

I am so sad to hear about Sandi’s passing. I have countless memories of our school days in Concrete. It was quite an adventure for me to get to come stay in town with Sandi. The family is in my prayers. God Bless.

Sandi was so amazing. She made everyone feel welcome at our Harley group. Steve and Sandy were special people. I enjoyed riding with them, and hoping to get to ride with Steve in the future. My prayers go out to all of Sandi’s and Steve’s families. May God bless everyone.

Mary Jo & Sheila I had no idea Sandi was sick. Fond memories of Uncle Fred’s church comes to mind when I think of you all. I believe she’s once again singing with her daddy & the rest up the family gathered up there. Sending all my love,

I have so many memories of Sandy and Sheila. I know that I have not seen either of you over the years my heart still hurts for all that has been lost here. Best Friend, Sister, Daughter, Mother, Wife. I know that in time you will come to accept if not understand the why of life. So many thoughts go through my head at this time and it’s hard to believe that it’s been over 30 years since I have seen either of you. The older we get the more these things seem to happen and the more I try to understand the more confusing they get. I just hope you all keep her in your memories and remember her in good times and the smile that she always seemed to have on her face. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Until we meet again.
