‘Big Dog’

Scott Thomas Stakkeland, age 39, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2006 at his home in Clear Lake, WA.
He was born January 21, 1967 in Mount Vernon, WA, the son of Tom and Karen Rhodes Stakkeland.
Scott grew up in Clear Lake attending school and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1985 and later attended Bellingham Technical School. He was married to Bonnie Dillard on December 21, 1991 in Clear Lake. Through the summers, he worked on the farm and especially loved driving trucks. He drove truck for Hornbeck’s, Mike Hawking, Van De Grift’s, and others before becoming owner of Big Dog Line Trucking. He also worked in auto sales and was presently driving milk truck for Roy N. Carlson Inc Trucking. Scott was a member of the Eagles and attended the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church.
Scott’s positive attitude and out going personality was ever present in his love for life, and his love for his daughters, family and friends. He will truly be missed.
Scott is survived by his wife Bonnie and daughter’s Siara and Shonnie Stakkeland and step son William Good and his son Brayden Good all of Clear Lake. His father and step-mother, Tom and Linda Stakkeland of Clear Lake and mother, Karen Doran of Burlington. His grandparents, Greer and Edna Drummond of Burlington and 2 brothers, Seth and Samuel Stakkeland of Clear Lake and many special Aunts, Uncles and special Cousins and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Dutchie Stakkeland and John and Ruth Rhodes.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 2:00PM at the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church with Pastor Tim Hedberg officiating. Memorials are suggested to a Trust Fund established for Scott’s daughters, c/o Skagit State Bank, Sedro-Woolley.
