Stephen Martinez, 61, a resident of Everett and a former Skagit County resident passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2015.
Steve was born in California and grew up in Skagit County (mostly Sedro-Woolley) until moving to the Everett area.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer and Stephen, Jr.; 14 grandchildren; brothers, Bill Thompson and Frank Martinez, Jr. and sisters, Sheila and Karla Martinez
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
I worked with Steve for the last three years at the Monte Cristo Apartments in Everett, WA. He was a fine man — hard-working, skilled, and he had a great sense of humor. With such a small staff as ours, teamwork is important as is a good rapport. Steve, Chris and I had all that. There is now a great void in our midst. The residents here loved him, and are also missing him greatly. So many of them attended a special memorial gathering we had here and said a great many nice things about him. Our community extends our deepest sympathies to Steve’s family and friends. We will all miss him dearly.
