Steven Lewis

Sunday, April 19th, 2015

Steven Lewis, 62, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away suddenly at his home with his wife, Louise, at his side, on Sunday, April 19, 2015.  Steve was born on December 22, 1952 to Clair and Viola Lewis in Denver, Colorado.  Steven married Barbara Iiams on December 15, 1972 and was married for 31 years.  He later married Louise LeGarde on November 11, 2011 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Steve was an extremely hard working man who went to work in the eighth grade to provide for his family after his father broke his back.  He earned everything he ever had by framing steel commercial buildings and hanging sheetrock.  Steve joined the Army three days after his eighteenth birthday and was sent to Vietnam where he became a decorated soldier, earning the bronze star among many other accolades.

Steve was very involved with the church and very proud of his strong Christian faith.  He was always there for those in need, whether it was helping serve food at the soup kitchens or moving furniture for families in need.  If anybody needed help, Steve was always there.  Steve was also very involved with Alcoholics Anonymous as a sponsor with thirty years of sobriety.

Steve is survived by his wife, Louise Lewis of Sedro-Woolley; his former wife, Barbara Lewis; sons, Michael Lewis and Delbert Lewis; daughter, Jackie Lewis; step sons, Paul, Dean and Karl Marchioni; four sisters from Colorado, Sandy Keto, Pamela Dannar, Linda Stonestreet, and Mary Lewis.  Steve also leaves behind six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Clair and Viola Lewis, as well as his brother David Lewis.

A Memorial Service will be held at Steve’s church, North Cascade Christian Fellowship, 118 Ball Street, Sedro-Woolley on Saturday April 25th at 1p.m.

I can’t tell you how much I will miss you Steve..I was so looking forward to trips this summer and when I get to retire. I know God has a plan but I am so freaking mad cause He didn’t give us more time with you. I loved you and Louise to the moon and back. I hope that I can be just like you when I grow up..I love you Louise and will do whatever I can to be beside you through this.
