Stewart Gordon Lloyd, 84, passed away January 31, 2015 at Birchview Memory Care in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
Stewart was born March 16, 1930, in Peaceberg, Alabama, to Stewart and Pearl (Nawlin) Lloyd. Raised in Alabama, he joined the Navy and was stationed in Bremerton, Washington, where he met and married Barbara J. Wheeler on December 14, 1951. He had lived in Wellington, AL and in Port Orchard, Edmonds, and Granite Falls, WA. He worked at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard, as an electrician and supervisor of shipbuilding. He was a member of the Elks Club, and enjoyed fishing and hunting, and had a hobby farm in Granite Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Lloyd; sons, Gordon K., of Sedro-Woolley, David (Barb), of Bremerton, Jeffrey (Serita), of Arkansas and Steven (Sally), of Everett, WA; grandchildren, Renee, Laura, Anthony and Justin; great grandchildren, Emily, Nathan, Seth and Alex; brother, Donald, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stewart is preceded in death by his parents.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00, Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5409 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, with Naval Military Honors, and a reception will follow. A time of visitation will be available at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley Thursday and Friday from 9:00 to 5:00.
