Terry Lee Carter, Jr., of Sedro-Woolley, WA passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2018 at the age of 42.

Terry was born in Springdale, AR on December 14, 1975 to Norma Louise Flora Carter and Terry Lee Carter, Sr.  He grew up in Lufkin, TX until he moved to Washington in 1989 where he graduated from Highline High School. He attended UTI in Houston, TX where he graduated with a degree in Automotive & Diesel Technology.

He was united in marriage to Karin Ovenell in August of 1997 and made his home in Sedro-Woolley until the time of his passing.

Terry worked for Smith Tractor as a mechanic immediately after college. He also spent a number of years selling appliances at Sears followed by getting his CDL and working for Helena Chemical. His last job before becoming disabled was proudly working as a machinist for Janicki Industries. He loved the challenge and being a part of something big and important.

He is survived by his wife, Karin Ovenell Carter and their “four legged children” Missy & Bubba of Sedro-Woolley, WA; step-mother, Catherine (Katy) Carter of Sedro-Woolley, WA; step-grandmother, Helen Flora of SD; great-aunt, Doris Bell of Lufkin, TX;  step-brothers, Sean Woody of Kirkland, WA and Kevin (Shannon) Woody of Hauula, HI; aunts, Cyndi (Steve) Hopson Kullback of Houston TX and Nona (Ron) Linden of Quincy, WA; 2 uncles, Sherm (Heidi) Carter of Pendleton, OR and Ron (Heidi) Flora of SD; two step-uncles, Mike Carter of VA, and Pat Carter of NM; numerous cousins, and his Ovenell family; mother-in-law, Eleanor Ovenell of Concrete, WA; sisters-in-law,  Kathy (Cal, Zachary, Jacob, Serena & Matthew) Roy of Emmett, ID; Kris (Tony, Scott & Tyler) Hansen, Cindy (Jason) Kleinhuizen and Helen Ovenell all of Concrete, WA.  Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Louise Flora Carter; his father, Terry Carter, Sr.; uncle, Gary Flora, and his grandparents.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Sedro-Woolley, WA on December 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. (Rosary at 9:30 a.m.) with Father Tom McMichael, Celebrant.  Inurnment will take place at West Hills Memorial Park in Yakima, WA.
