Tidrington, Mike and TheresaTheresa Angela-Marie Westre (Tidrington), 66, a resident of Sedro-Woolley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Prestige Care & Rehab in Burlington, WA.

She was born on May 31, 1949 in High Praire, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Julien and Emma (Dalton) Carrier. She was raised and went to school in Joussard, Alberta. After school she moved to Edmonton, AB and British Columbia.

In her mid-20’s she moved to Everett for a short period, before moving to Skagit County where she spent the remainder of her life. She attended Skagit Valley College for a year. Terry worked at Burton Care Center as a CNA and restorative aid; in fact that is where she met the love of her life Mike.  She loved her job and helping others. She was also a member of the Eagles.

Terry enjoyed playing bingo, card games, and bunco with friends and family. She also enjoyed many sports including hockey, football, and bull riding. In her 20’s and 30’s she played on a coed softball league for the Parks and Rec. Mike and Terry enjoyed traveling, camping and bowling together at Riverside Lanes in Mount Vernon and join many tournaments. She was an avid reader; her favorite author was Stephen King.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, including taking cruises with them. She especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and animals, Rebel and Zeek.

Terry is survived by her mother, Emma Carrier; daughter, Sonia Carrier, of Anacortes, WA; son, Woody Westre, of Sedro-Woolley, WA; step daughters, Angie Westre, of Lake Stevens, WA, Crystal Ross, of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Tiffany Vopalensky, of Richland, WA, Magen Castellano, of Shoreline, WA; grandchildren, Cassandra Schellenberg, Blake and Jase Vopalensky, Kyson and Cooper Castellano, Jamie Carrier, Reesa and Tarah Deutch; great grandchildren, Tristan and Devin Deutsch, Addalynn Von Stroberg; brothers, Paul Carrier (Bernice), Clifford Carrier (Dianne), Peter Carrier (Carolyn); sisters, Irene Anderson (Emile), Valerie Knecht (Al), Denise Blackstock  (Doug), Doris Willier (Terry), and Diane Whitmore (Ted).

She was preceded in death by her father, Julien Carrier in 1993; brother, George Carrier in 1995; her beloved husband, Michael Tidrington who passed 15 hours after her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 719 Ferry Street, Sedro- Woolley, WA at 11:00 AM., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Eagles Club, 1000 Metcalf Street, Sedro Woolley, WA from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM for a time of fellowship and refreshments. You are welcome to attend one or both of the memorials.

    To my wonderful sister who has left us . I am so glad i was able to visit you before you left us. I saw the pain you were in and i know you are in a better place. You will always be in my heart.
