Thomas J. Hintz, age 51, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 near Mount Vernon as the result of a tragic accident. He was born September 16, 1955 in Seattle, WA, the son of Floyd and Maxine Hodder Hintz and his step-father Kenny Kjorsvik.
Tom attended school in Ballard and then served four years in the US Army, stationed in Frankfort, Germany. He worked in construction and was a member of Local #292 Laborers Union. Tom was a natural born joker and spread amusement and laughter everywhere he went. He also was a professional chef at several northwest area restaurants and was a great cook. Tom loved the northwest and was never more happy than when he was fishing and hunting in the Skagit Valley.
Tom is survived by his son; T.J. Hintz of Everett, his mother; Maxine Kjorsvik of Stanwood, and his 12 brothers and sisters; Floyd Hintz of Concrete, Barbara Vest and her husband Terry of Stanwood, Greg Hintz and his wife Colette of Ellensburg, Patti Hintz of Mill Creek, Dennis Hintz of Enumclaw, Darryl Hintz of Burlington, Diane Hintz of Everett, Margo Massingale and her husband Darryl of Birdsview, Monica Hintz of Mount Vernon, Debra Bazinet and her husband Ed of Sedro-Woolley, Mary Wold and her husband Steve of Darrington, and Brian Hintz of Simi Valley, CA. Tom was loved by all of his numerous nieces and nephews and cherished throughout his large family. He was preceded in death by his father Floyd and his step-father Kenneth Kjorsvik.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 11:00AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Sedro-Woolley with Father Martin Bourke as Celebrant with graveside inurnment services to follow at the Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete. A celebration of his life reception will he held after the services at the CCD Center in Concrete. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
