Valerie Lynn Overfield, 44, a brief resident of Skagit County, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley following a courageous battle with cancer.
Valerie was born on February 14, 1962 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of John & Patrina Williams.
She was raised and attended school in Denver and there was married to William Overfield on April 1, 1978. It was in Denver that Valerie & Bill made their home and raised there family until coming to Skagit County in 2002.
Valerie was a social person who enjoyed talking with and being with people as much as possible. She also enjoyed all kinds of animals and reading, especially her bible. She has been a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington since 2002.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Bill; her 4 children, Valerie Overfield, Matricia Cridlebaugh and her husband Kenneth, William F. Overfield, III and Mike Overfield. 3 grandchildren, Kelly & Kasey Overfield and Marie Criblebaugh and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 6:30 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington with Pastor Leon Meyer officiating. Memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
