Vivian A. Wolf

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Vivian A. Wolf, 89, a resident of the Birdsview community, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 surrounded by her loving family.
A true sweetheart, Vivian was born on February 14, 1918 in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, the daughter of Adolph & Ruth Steele Larson. She was born on a farm homesteaded by her grandparents from Norway & Sweden.
She attended grade school in a one room school house and then graduated from East Grand Forks High School in 1935. She then graduated from Deaconess Nursing School in 1939.
In 1940 she moved to Tacoma and was working as a nurse when she met George Wolf and they were married on July 2, 1941 and made their home in Shelton. Their life was never boring, building cabins and going hunting and fishing, they were partners to the end. They moved a lot looking for that perfect place to settle, but did make their home in Quilcene for nearly 20 years and Port Townsend for several years. Their final home was in Birdsview near Concrete, settling there in 1994. George passed away in 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lorna Erchinger.
She had a love of the outdoors which she shared with her husband and also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and watching the Mariners. Vivian enjoyed life to the fullest and was more concerned for others than for herself.
She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois Wolf and her husband Carl Carter of Birdsview. 2 grandsons and their wives, Bret & Kim Erchinger of Bellingham and Brian & Lisa Erchinger of Texas. 2 step-grandchildren, Mellissa Carter of Everett and Drew Carter of Nederland, TX. 2 great-grandchildren, Brianna & Reichle Erchinger. 2 nephews, Dale Peterson Teresa and Neil Peterson Linda in Oregon and 3 nephews, Gary, Roger and Rodney Larson and 2 nieces, Janine Wiedeman and Pam Potter in Minnesota.
A Life Celebration will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Skagit Hospice. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
