Winifred Mae Adelman passed away June 7, 2017 surrounded by loved ones at the age of 97.  Winnie, to all who knew her, was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 14, 1920, the first of three daughters born to Oswald and Theresa Crummack.  In 1936, the family went West in a Model T Ford and settled in Seattle.  She graduated from Garfield High School in 1938.  Upon graduating, she went to work as a secretary for Star Machinery Co. in Seattle.  There she met and married Robert Adelman in 1945.  Together they had five children, Barbara, Patricia, William, Robert and Theresa.  In 1968, the family moved to the Skagit Valley and settled in Burlington, then six years later in Sedro-Woolley.

Winnie is survived by five children, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a sister, Caroline.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and a sister, Rosemary.
