Agnes B. McDonald, a lifetime resident of Skagit County went to be the Lord on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at the Burton Care Center in Burlington, WA at the age of 96 years. She was born April 20, 1906 in LaConner, WA the daughter of Gus and Lena Helland Swanby. Agnes was the last of the children in her family. They lived on the Garden of Eden Rd which was named for her mother’s beautiful yard which was full of flowers. She was married to Rhuben Boyd for over 40 years where they resided in Clear Lake. After his death, she married Roger McDonald where they resided in Sedro-Woolley. She was an active member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church, she enjoyed gardening and her flowers and dancing at the Cook Rd Grange. Agnes was a sweet and loving lady who will be missed. Agnes is survived by 2 nieces Beverly Pinneke of Sedro-Woolley and Arline Swanby of Lynnwood. A nephew Ken Swanby of Boise, ID. 3 great nieces Patsy Taylor and Paige Durham of Sedro-Woolley and Dianne Hankins of Lake Stevens. 3 great nephews Don Swanby of Lynnwood, Wayne Pinneke of Winthrop, and Brad Pinneke of Burlington. A special friend Betty Bolton of Sedro-Woolley. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers Art, Tom, and George Swanby and 2 sisters Lilly Coultas and Ida McDermott. <br>Funeral Services will be Friday, May 31, 2002 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Billy Farrar officiating. Interment will follow at the Clear Lake Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of your choice. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel.
