Agnes Johnson, age 95, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
She was born on September 21, 1913 in Everett, Washington to Christian and Lena Sather Bakken.
Agnes as a child moved to Clear Lake with her family at age 5 and she attended Clear Lake Elementary School. She was married to Herbert Johnson on April 10, 1934 in Bellingham and they resided in Clear Lake until moving to Sedro-Woolley in 1972.
Agnes enjoyed playing the piano, participating in hunting and camping trips, traveling, but most of all she enjoyed shopping. She attended Bethel Assembly of God Church in Sedro-Woolley.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Kenneth Johnson and his wife Maureen of Clear Lake, Raymond Johnson and his wife Sandra of Sedro-Woolley, and daughter-in-law, Ellen Johnson of Burlington. 8 grandchildren, Bryan Johnson and his wife Denise, Wayne Johnson and his companion Ellen, Blake Johnson and his wife Molly, Wesley Johnson and his wife Jenny, Gordon Johnson and his wife Sally, Lisa Robinson and her husband Dale, Rodney Johnson and his wife Jennifer, Jason Johnson and his wife Victoria and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. Her cousin, Mabel Porter of Marysville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herb in 1998, a son Robert, a daughter, Donna Jean and her brother, Chester Baker.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Jim Cannon of Bethel Assembly of God Church officiating. Memorials are suggested to North Puget Oncology at United General Hospital or to the Gideons. Visitation is available from 9AM to 5PM Tuesday at Lemley Chapel.
