Aline Schulz, age 86, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Aline was born on July 15, 1928 to Adolph and Maria (Schlak) Lachetzki, in Okalew, Poland.  She married Heinz W. Schulz on September 7, 1946 in Magdeburg, Germany, and immigrated to Oroville, Washington.  She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years and after retiring she and Heinz moved to Burlington.

Aline is survived by her sons, John Schulz and his wife, Bonnie of Camano Island, and Mark Schulz, of Issaquah; grandson, Andrew Schulz and his wife, Shannon, of Gig Harbor and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Heinz in 2009; sister, Hilda; daughter, Siegrid and son, Steve Helmut.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 324 Avon Ave. in Burlington, with Pastor Jay Buzbee officiating.  The family will receive guests during a time of visitation on Friday, January 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley.  Greenhills Cemetery in Burlington will be her final resting place.

    While I am so sad that you are no longer amongst those you have left behind. You touched so many people through the years. From newborns to your neighbors at Country Meadows we all saw through your tough exterior and saw the loving, caring person you were to so many around you. From teaching young people the things you were so good at to caring for those who were sick to being the best mom and grandma you could be to everyone.

    You will be forever missed by so many folks.
