ALLEN INGMAN CHRISTENSEN passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham on Monday, June 17, 2002. He was 85 years of age. He was born on August 31, 1916 in Milltown, WA., the son of Andrew and Mina Lundamoe Christensen. He was raised and attended school in Conway and Clear Lake and later graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School. He went to work for the Puget Sound Shipyard in Bremerton, WA as a pattern maker. He married Bonnie Smallwood in Bellingham, WA on July 29, 1939 and they moved to Ketchikan, Alaska where he worked as a mechanic. They later moved the Acme, WA were he went to work for Scott Paper as their mechanical superintendent and he retired in 1985. Allen was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sedro-Woolley and served on various committees for the church. He was an honorary Mason, enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting and going on trips with his family in their trailer. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie and their daughter Anna at the family home in Acme, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of your favorite charity.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, with interment following at the Fir-Conway Cemetery. Share your thoughts and memories of Allen in the online guestbook register at www.lemleychapel.com.
