AMY MARIE DANDO, 74, a former Birdsview, WA community resident passed away on Friday October 11, 2002 at the Life Care Center in Mount Vernon, WA. She was born on July 21, 1928 in Oberlin, Kansas, the daughter of John & Amy Cramer Reifschneider. Amy was married to Don Dando on October 23, 1953 in Seattle, WA and they made their home in Birdsview. She was devoted wife and mother and also raised several foster children. Over the years she had been very active in the Whidbey Island Weaver Guild. She and Don also raised and showed Llamas and would take them to local nursing homes to share with residents. She is survived by he husband of nearly 49 years, Don of Birdsview. Her 7 children, Susan Kinsman of Mount Vernon, WA, Sharon Biccheri of Stansbury Park, Utah, Steve Dando of Maple Valley, WA, Tammie Grabill of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Bob Dando of Renton, WA, Barbara Pope of Pacific, WA and Kevin Dando of Anaheim, CA. 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. 2 brothers, Jack Reifschneider of Lacey, WA and Phil Reifschneider of Blairsville, GA. The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of your choice. A Life Celebration for family and friends will be held on Thursday October 17, 2002 at 1:00 PM at the Community Bible Church in Concrete. Pastor Rob Thomas officiating.
