Amy Marie Watkins passed away Saturday, April 5, 2003 at the Mira Vista Care Center in Mount Vernon, WA at the age of 83 years. She was born January 9, 1020 in Craig, Colorado the daughter of Samuel and Dora Garman Beauchamp. Amy and her family came to Washington from Craig, Colorado when she was 9 years old settling in the Clear Lake and Sedro-Woolley area. She was married to Thorbren ‘Dutch’ Watkins and after his retirement they moved to the Winthrop and Twisp area residing there until 12 years ago when be became ill and they returned to Mount Vernon residing at Alpine Ridge Retirement Home. Amy loved to play cards especially pinochle and she was an avid Mariner’s fan. She is survived by her sister Eileen Exelby of Mount Vernon. 3 grandchidren Shelly, Ginger, and Jeffrey Morgan and several great grandchildren. 3 nieces Roberta Oster & family of Lynnwood, Sheryl Parker & family of Sedro-Woolley, and Loretta Durham & family of Mount Vernon. Many other relatives and friends. She shared her last year often with a special friend Carl Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband Thorbren ‘Dutch’ Watkins and 2 sons Ronald Allen Morgan and Henry Lloyd Morgan. At Amy’s request there are to be no services. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Arrangements and cremation under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
