Audrey Mae Waldrop, 85, a longtime Big Lake area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Audrey was born on November 4, 1930 in Roby, Missouri, the daughter of J. Warner
& Maude (Jackson) Hill. She was raised in both Missouri and Peshastin, Washington
until the family settled in Peshastin where she attained her education.
On September 1, 1954 she was united in marriage to Vonray Waldrop in Sedro-Woolley and they made their home at Big Lake. For a few years in the late 1950’s they made their home in Hollis, Alaska until returning to the Big Lake area. During their 61 years of marriage Vonray always made reference to her as “my sweet thing”.
Audrey worked in the canaries doing seasonal agriculture work; as a waitress for
several years, and as a sales clerk at the Coast to Coast Hardware store in Mount Vernon
for many years.
Family always came first with Audrey, doting on her children and grandchildren, and
when time allowed she enjoyed growing flowers in her beautiful garden. She always had
a big smile and laugh that would light up a room. She attended the Viewcrest Assembly
of God Church in Mount Vernon and was a member and officer of the Aglow Fellowship.
Audrey levitra cost at walgreens is survived by her husband, Vonray at the family home in Big Lake; 2 daughters, Ruby Van Dorn of Blaine, WA, and Shirley Watkinson and husband Lloyd of Burlington; 2 brothers, Hershel Hill of Peshastin, WA and Howard Hill and wife Betty of Licking, MO; 2 sisters, Ruth Stanfield and husband Arlyn of Seattle and Maxine Weed of E. Wenatchee, WA; 9 grandchildren, Tanna Kluss (Dennis), Forrest Van Dorn, Scott Reetz (Marisa), Zack Watkinson (Tina), Wade Watkinson, and John, Julie, Janet and Jody; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; son, Jimmy Ray Waldrop; daughter, Audrey Ellen Saldivar; 3 brothers, Lloyd, Floyd and Gene Hill and a sister, Helen Earney.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Lemley Chapel
in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Dennis Spinnie officiating. Interment will follow at the
Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
