Barbara Lloyd, 83, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2015 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
Barbara was born May 10, 1932, in Oakville, WA, to Howard and Ida (Joyce) Wheeler.
She met and married Stewart Gordon Lloyd on December 8, 1951. They were married for 63 years until Stewart’s passing on January 31, 2015.
Barbara and Stewart had lived in Port Orchard, Bremerton, and most recently in Granite Falls, before moving to Sedro-Woolley, WA. They resided in Granite Falls for approximately 37 years. Barbara worked for J.C. Penney’s for many years, retiring therefrom. She enjoyed working in her garden and sharing her garden with many, including her family and people she played bingo with at the Granite Falls Senior Center. She was also very “crafty” and enjoyed sewing and creating. They were also snowbirds traveling between Granit Falls, Apache Junction and Mesa, AZ for 15 years. They enjoyed seeing their many snow-bird friends.
She is survived by her four sons, Gordon K. Lloyd, of Sedro-Woolley, David (Barb) Lloyd, of Bremerton, Jeffrey (Serita) Lloyd, of Arkansas and Steven (Sallie) Lloyd, of Everett, WA; brother, Tom (Darlene) Wheeler, of Rochester, WA; grandchildren, Renee, Laura, Anthony and Justin; great-grandchildren, Emily, Nathan, Seth and Alex; brother in law, Donald (Sadie) Lloyd, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stewart Lloyd; sisters, Alice, Betty, Connie, Bonnie, Mickie; brothers, Dale, and Jerry.
Mom, greet Dad and rest in peace, you and Dad are now back together forever.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5303 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, with a Committal Service to follow and a reception to follow at the American Legion, 4922 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA 98312. A time of visitation will be available at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley Thursday and Friday from 9:00 to 5:00.
