Every time I heard “Ka-thy” called out in her North Carolina accent I’d smile inside, knowing a gab session was being called to order on Bea’s front porch. We giggled like girls sometimes, sipping our coffee and tea on the sofa. Once in a blue moon I’d get cinnamon rolls from Joy’s (my coat hiding my flannels somewhat) and we two would sit in the morning sun, still in our jammies, on the front porch having breakfast and watching people pass. Such a contrast to her otherwise charming southern manners. She knew how to make you welcome. Her curiosity about people made her eyes sparkle and getting to know others endeared her to them. Over the years, as our gardening passion was tempered with her frail health, I saw her passion about her family increase. You all made her so happy and proud. And didn’t she like to decorate though?!? I will always think of her when I see a cardinal, Christmas red.
With love and prayers for sustaining memories,
    Kathryn Poole

Ms. Beulah, You have touched countless lives with your sincere care for others. Your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was sincere, and your expression of that faith impacted people’s hearts. My dear friend, I know you are in the presense of Jesus Christ which is far better, and I know those of us in Christ will see you again someday, but until then we will miss you very much. God bless you Ms. Beulah (Boots),
    Pastor Pat

I’ll always remember the fun we all had at Granny’s house when Brenda and I were young girls. And all of the fun things that you and TT did for us when we were teenagers. You both made a difference in my life. Thank You so much. I remember our talk the evening Granny left and now the same words apply to you. May you find Joy and Peace now with Our Savior and all those that you love who have gone before. Good bye for now, my aunt “Boots”. I love you.

I will always remember her being with our family in the last hours with our beloved Mom. Beulah was saying The Lords Prayer over Mom when she went into the peaceful sleep.
