Brian Hickox

Wednesday, July 14th, 2021

Brian Stephen Hickox, The Man, The Myth, The Legend. Brian was born to Terry and Janet Hickox on October 17, 1991 in Burien, Washington and passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2021.

Brian was always the life of the party. He could charm the pants off of anyone with his humor, good looks and charismatic personality. He was an avid hunter and loved helping his stepdaughter Bailey Jean with her sprint car. Brian was the type of person that would take his shirt off of his back if you needed it. Like literally, he loved to take his shirt off. Brian was the type of man who never left without a big embrace as he told you how much he loves you. A father and stepfather who cherished any chance to play and teach and help his family.

He worked dutifully at Ross for many years, ending his career as store manager at the Marysville location. He was an amazing leader and his co-workers looked up to him.

Brian is survived by his fiancée, Amanda Deeter; his son Wyatt Hickox, stepdaughters,

Bailey and Kendra Sucich; sisters, Heather Grimm (Chris) , Jennifer Rodriguez (Aaron Negri); brother, Wesley Hickox (Santana Templar); nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, David, Liliana, Chase, Amelia, Emma, Devin, Dallas, Kensley and Noah; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many other loved ones that he called family; Brian is survived by them as well.

Brian is preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Hickox.

A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held at 32836 Cockerham Lane, Sedro Woolley, WA 98284 on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 3pm. Flowers or donations for the family can be sent to 831 Katelyn Ct, Burlington, WA 98233 or https://gofund.me/4c0b6f3b.  Please take time to share your memories of Brian and sign the online guest register.

Brian, you were the best manager I have ever had. It’s so crazy to me to see you go. Something must have really made you so sad. My heart goes out to your family and loved ones. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be. Brian had a good heart; a good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can’t help but live on in those it loved. You will never be forgotten.

    Janet, Terry & family,
I’m so sorry and saddened to see that you lost your beloved Brian. I only knew him as a young boy but I can see the light still shining within him in the recent picture. God bless you all with the courage to find your new normal with Brian looking over you all.

  • Amanda Deeter

My love, you were our world. You were the kindest, happiest, craziest man I knew. I loved everything about you. You gave me the most beautiful son in the world, and you took care of my girls when you didn’t have to. You were so selfless and full of love. I will miss your smile, your jokes, your kisses, hearing you say I love you. But most of all I will miss being in your presence, you were my calm. Rest easy my love! I will be strong for our babies. Watch over all of us down here because we all still need you ❤️🤍💙

To those of you left here: I’m sorry and we love you all. I can’t even begin to understand your pain and the questions you are left with.
