He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry (Pudge) Johnson and Dean Hamilton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00, Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Lemley Chapel and will also be streamed live via ZOOM, with a reception to follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1122 McGarigle Rd, Sedro-Woolley.

Guestbook

  • Jack and Teresa Nicholas

There aren’t enough words, and we couldn’t come up with the right ones if we searched the whole wide world….”May we give ourselves the compassion we wish our loved ones could have felt. May we open our hearts even though it hurts, and recognize that it hurts because it mattered, and that our hearts are big enough to hold it all. May we allow ourselves the space to process such great pain.” Trista and family, just know we are praying for you, and that Calvin was and is loved for the gentle, kind soul who was and will always be our joy. We are just so, so sorry for your loss. In His Love, Jack and Teresa Nicholas

  • Troy

Trista and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Calvin is such a gentle and quiet guy that always had a smile or a joking smirk, helping his friends and family and love of his boys. He is going to be greatly missed.

  • Daryl Deitz

We loved Calvin, haven’t seen him for twelve years, but he spent most of the summer with us then. He was very intelligent, handsome and kind. We took him and two grandkids to Woodland Park Zoo, he hadn’t been there and kept thanking us. He was a quiet man, but a good conversationalist when he joined an interesting subject. The world needs more good hearted and truly caring people like Calvin! He was a young man of morals that anyone would be proud to call their son! He was Daryl’s third cousin, our friend and always in our hearts. God Bless all who were lucky enough to know him!! He’s in HEAVEN for sure!!!! Daryl & Patty Deitz

  • Gary Benson

My name is Gary Benson. I was Calvins lead/supervisor for 8 years. He was the kind of man that I could always count on and hardworking. We became really close while working together. I always thought of him like a little brother. I will always love him and miss him.

  • Tina Dillon

My name is Tina Dillon and I worked at SVC with Cal for appx. 10 years. At work I was one of the leads of our custodial department and Cal was on my team for awhile before he moved up to being in our custodian maintenance dept. He was most definately the best worker I ever had and he had a great personality! Rarely was he ever in a bad mood and he always was willing to lend a hand. I became quite fond of him and was truly honored to be more than just co-workers. He was a friend.
My heart goes out to his boys, his grandma, his parents, his siblings, and his other family and friends. What a great guy and he truly, truly with be missed. I will miss his smile and his friendship.

  • Debbie and Aunt Diane
