Catherine “Louise” Bullard

Friday, January 15th, 2021

Catherine ‘Louise’ Bullard, 88 years old, born December 24, 1932, entered into final rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the evening of January 6, 2021.  Louise was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Charles and Dovie Mynear, and was the fourth of seven children.  After living in Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl era, the family relocated to California, settling in the San Joaquin Valley in 1942 when she was nine years old.  This is also where she later met her husband and after a short courtship they married on August 12, 1948 and began their beautiful journey together giving birth to and raising nine children.  Despite marrying young, they stood strong in their faith and love for one another and were married for 64 years until her husband passed away in 2012.

These are merely details and don’t truly reflect who she was to those who knew and loved her.  She was a devoted wife, cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and recently became a great-great grandmother.  She was an anchor for a large family and dearly loved by all.  She was a woman who survived some hard times, tragedies and many losses through the years but had an unshakeable belief in the sovereignty of God over all creation and circumstances.  She had a way about her that was a true example of beauty and grace and will be greatly missed by many.

Louse is survived by her children, Deborah (Mike) Harrold of Bow, WA, Bill Bullard of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Carolyn (Duane) Moore of Ellensburg, WA, Brad Bullard of Clear Lake, WA, Ruth (Mark) Spaeth of Concrete, WA and Sheila Milholland of Marysville, WA; siblings, Eula Lowry of Klamath Falls, OR, Don Mynear of Oakdale, CA, and Frances Barth or Eureka, CA; 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandson.

Louise was preceded in death by both of her parents; brothers, James, Raymond and John Mynear; husband, Lowal Bullard; sons, Tom, Chuck and Jack Bullard; grandson, Russell Bullard.

Due to current restrictions, there will not be a service at this time, but plan to have a Celebration of Life later this spring.  Please share your memories of Louise and sign the online guest register.

    The Bullard’s were our neighbors for many years. They truly were thankful people. We remember your Mom walking to town almost every day after your Dad passed away. She always considered that her daily walk, even though we would try to give her a ride sometimes. We are very thankful for their friendship and your Mom’s smile and laugh. She loved the Lord and she walked daily in his presence.

    I never knew Mrs. Bullard but I know that she had a very positive influence on one of the neatest gentlemen I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I’m proud to call him my future son-in-law and I love him dearly. My deepest sympathies to all family members and thanks to Louise for the kindness and love she gave to Josh!❣️

    OMG, I love my Grandma Bullard. What a sweet, kind, and gentle Grandma. I, as many of her Grand Children, will miss our summer walks around the area and her laugh and simple kindness. Christmas will never be the same but we will remember her for the gift she was to us. We love her soooooooo Much. Dani and I will miss you in this world, but we know that with each sunset and sunrise, you and Grandpa and the others are all looking over us and we can see your faces in the sunshine, and know that you are well and safe. We love you. We will always think of you. Thank you for all you have done in my life. I love you so much.

    To the family of Mrs Bullard;
    I’m so sorry to read about the loss of your loved one. Mrs Bullard was a great friend and neighbor to my grandparents, Jim and Mary Perotti. I know they thought a lot of both she and Mr Bullard. My heartfelt sympathy to the entire Bullard family.
