Charles William Ledford “Charlie”, 58, born and raised in Skagit County, passed away at home on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
He was born in Sedro-Woolley, Washington on January 6, 1962 to Dean and Jerry (Farr) Ledford.
Charlie was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He also loved to make people laugh and was said by many to have a heart of gold. Charlie was kind and had many friends.
Charlie is survived by his brother, Scotty Ledford of Concrete, Washington; sister, Vicki (Jim) Past, of Concrete, Washington; niece, Jenni Past of Sedro-Woolley, Washington; nephew, James Past of Stanwood, Washington; great niece, Athena; great nephews, Odin, Bacchus, and Joey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Jerry; sister, Sherri Ledford.
The family will schedule a Celebration of Life at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Share memories of Charlie and sign the online guest register.

The last time we saw each other was not the last time I thought I would say goodbye to you…sadly…But, you now get the chance to fish and mushroom hunt and ride that quad endlessly friend. No curfews, no permits required, and no medications…you will be greatly missed. That fart machine on the other hand Jennifer says will not be. Or your squirt bottle for her talking too much. Hey old man… Where did you get your patience from? How do you tie this knot? Hey Charlie? Hey Charlie? Wanna play a game of crib? Want to go fishing? Hey Charlie where can I find this mushroom? How do I cook this? Hey …. can I get your glass of water? What we having for dinner? All the kinds of things in going to miss talking to you about. You are a very important character in my book of life and when its over we can have a bear hug, a game of crib, and a dab of whatever is for dinner… (lol, laugh out loud) I’m so happy you are no longer uncomfortable. First and foremost condolences to the Ledford family❤ Charlie had an ol soul that many are missing in this day and age. There are few and far between when it comes to a true friends this day and age, and Charlie defines one that no one else can ever amount to. Thank you for teaching me things no one else would take the time to do so Charlie. You were one of a kind and so damn stubborn at times which I loved about you. I will miss your funny sense of humor and the great laughs we shared. I will miss you texting me or calling me up out of the blue just to crack a joke(about me of course). You were a great man and no one will ever be able to replace that within me. You will be greatly missed by many but most of all by me. Thank you for always being there for me when I needed someone the most. I will defiantly miss our conversations and your life stories of adventure. Until we sit along the river and fish again. Thank you everyone, for sharing memories of Charlie. He spent his life as a giver, never a taker. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, laughter, and most of all the unconditional love he showed not only me but so many others. He loved to make people smile and laugh, he was an unforgettable teacher, as he taught me many things I will never forget, he was a great man, uncle, brother and friend. I know I didn’t know Charlie as long as most of you but he was one of a kind no one will ever compare to his kindness and caring heart he shared with everyone he will always be in my thoughts; rest in peace
They broke the mold with you, friend. I can’t even begin to start counting all the great memories we shared. Lasagna cook-off’s, camping, cinnamon rolls, countless Thanksgivings, fishing derby’s (that always ended in rock, paper, scissors..) picking mushrooms, passing out Halloween candy… there’s just soo many. I honestly wasn’t ready Charlie, this poked my heart. You are by far one of the best men I’ve ever known, and hands down easily one of the best people I’ve ever met. For those of us lucky enough to have you as a friend, it was an honor. I can’t really even put into words how much you impacted in my life and the lives of those around you…. But you are loved very much. Until we see each other again… you better save me a seat. God’s got a good one now he doesn’t really need many more. Love you Charlie.
My friend over 30 years great teacher taught me how to fly fish how to cut make my own knives by hand you’re gone but I will never forget you Charlie .

So sorry to hear of Charles passing. He was one of the first people I met when I moved to Concrete always loved his happy disposition. He will be missed. Love and prayers to his family.
What a terrible loss. He was such a dear friend of not just myself but my entire family. I will miss him so very much. My sympathy goes out to his family. Hoping they find comfort in countless amazing memories of him.

My heart broke as soon as I heard the news, I rushed to you as fast as I could. I was so glad I was able to hold your hand one last time as I told you goodbye.. I just keep telling myself you are no longer in pain and you are free.. I will never forget your kind heart, infectious laugh and smile that could light up any room.
