Our deeply beloved sister, mother, aunt and friend, Christine Anne Armstrong, passed way on Wednesday, August 16th, 2006 after a long struggle.
We mourn her passing, but celebrate her life. She leaves us with a legacy of unconditional love, boundless empathy and continued hope in the face of great adversity. A warrior woman, Chris taught us all how to love, light and fight for life. We will never know just how many lives her warmth and kindness touched. And that beautiful smile!
We thank you, Corazon, for stopping here on your journey long enough to get to know us. You loved us well and blessed us with positive energy and generous spirit. We feel your presence all around us. You are with us in the beauty of a summer sunset, the brilliance of a lightning storm, in your sisters’ laugh, your son’s strength of character, in the roots of the tree we planted for you, on a warm sea breeze, in the burnished copper autumn leaves. You are us, in the ways we love ourselves and each other. Every embrace, compassionate gesture and hand extended in assistance, every time we use our voices in honest and healing self-expression, and to speak out when rights are infringed upon, you are working your good, your hope, and your love through us.
We will honor you in how we live our lives from this moment forward. We will wear bright colors, sing loud and bang a drum, dance, laugh, debate, and story tell. We will embrace life and each other. Sister, mother, aunt, friend, we celebrate all that you were and ourselves as extensions of you. We celebrate and give thanks for your new found freedom. Your soul and essence are free of the temporal world, free of pain and suffering, free to run, leap, dance and revel in weightlessness. We will miss you but know you’ve found peace. We look to the sky, the earth, the water, the wind and in each other’s eyes and feel your love and strength enveloping us. Beautiful woman, watch over our shoulders tonight and help us live our words tomorrow.
Christine is survived by Catherine Morris, Linda Read, Seth Armstrong, Kendra Sudano, Cecilia Montgomery and our extended adopted families.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
I recently found out of my friends’ passing. I knew she had had trouble with her foot etc but did not think it was that serious. 🙁
I miss her. Is there a place where I can visit her?
