CYNTHIA E. BRYSON, 84, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Saturday May 31, 2003 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley.
She was born on November 25, 1918 at Van Horn, WA, the tenth of eleven children of Francis & Margaret Ellison Yeager. As a young girl the family moved to Concrete and Cynthia was raised and attended school there, graduating from Concrete High School in 1938. She received her nursing degree and worked as an L.P.N. at Memorial Hospital and Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, and at hospitals in Burlington and Bellingham.
She was united in marriage to Arthur T. Bryson in La Conner on November 25, 1949 and they lived in Sedro-Woolley, moving to Lynnwood in the 1970’s. Arthur passed away in 1979 in Lynnwood and Cynthia remained there until the early 1980’s when she returned to Sedro-Woolley. While living in Lynnwood Cynthia was a foster parent to several handicapped children.
She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and the Cascade Christian Fellowship Township Street Church of Christ in Sedro-Woolley and of the Nurses Association. Her leisure time was spent traveling, sewing and quilting.
She is survived by 2 brothers, Joe Yeager and his wife Velma and Maurice Yeager, all of Sedro-Woolley. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers and 5 sisters. The family suggests memorials be made to the Cascade Christian Fellowship Church in Sedro-Woolley or a charity of your choice.
Graveside services will be held Thursday June 5, 2003 at 1:00 PM at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery. Pastor Bill Heberling of the Bow Church of Christ officiating.
