Damion R. Comack, age 31, a resident of Concrete, Washington passed away at his home on Friday, September 11, 2009. He was born November 27, 1977 in Mount Vernon, Washington, the first child of Kenneth and Patricia Rieckers Comack.
He made his home in the Sedro-Woolley area his entire life, attending Sedro-Woolley schools in his youth and graduating in 1996 from Sedro-Woolley High School where he played football and was in the band. He worked in the janitorial and metal fabrication fields for several years. Damion enjoyed the outdoors, hunting in his younger years, fishing with his grandfather, and hiking and camping at Baker Lake with friends. He was a gifted photographer and enjoyed taking pictorial memories of his exploits. Damion had a deep compassion for animals. He was kind hearted and generous to anyone he met.
Damion was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Andrews in 1979, his uncle, Edward R. Big Ed Rieckers in 1998, his grandmother, Cleo M. Rieckers in 2000, his cousin, Edward R. Rieckers Jr. in 2002, and his beloved grandfather, Theodore R. Ted Rieckers in 2007. He is survived by his mother, Patti Comack of Sedro-Woolley, WA. His father, Kenneth Comack of Sedro-Woolley, WA. Sisters, Delilah Wong of Texas and Andrea Comack of Bothell, WA. His brother, Kenneth H. Comack, Jr. of Sedro-Woolley, WA. His grandmother, Marilyn Andrews of Burlington, WA; a niece, Becca Wong of Texas; special friend, Tyler Pederson of Longview, WA and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Damion was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 4:00PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
