Darlene Grayce Miller, age 81, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at her home in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
She was born on January 18, 1928 in Bellevue, Washington to Glenn and Grayce Durham Tinker.
Darlene was married to Kenneth Roy Miller on May 10, 1945 in Auburn, Washington and they celebrated 63 years together.
She was a former resident of Cumberland, Washington for many years until moving to Sedro-Woolley in 1973.
Darlene worked for the Tally Corporation in Seattle as a soldering components on the assembly line and later for the Boeing Co. working on the production of the 737. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a member of Cyrene Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Miller of Sedro-Woolley. Her son, Kenneth G. Miller of Camarillo, CA and her daughter, Kathy VanBuskirk Roy of Eatonville, WA. 3 grandchildren, Corey VanBuskirk Nicole, Kevin VanBuskirk and Kayra Christianson Jeffrey and 6 great-grandchildren, Issac, Hailey, Kenneth, Kyle, Elizabeth, and Brandon.
3 brothers, Robert Tinker Carol of Yuma, AZ, Thomas Tinker of Enumclaw, WA and Gerald Tinker Sandra of Kennewick, WA and a sister, Virginia Markham Leslie of Yakima, WA. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 11:00AM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Wendy Tingley of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Sedro-Woolley officiating. Inurnment will be at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw, WA.
