    To Frankie and the family,

Dave was an unforgettable man, such determination to walk again after losing both his feet. I will never forget the times at the lake and the stories he could tell, i imagine their are not to many people that dave didnt know or that dont know him. He was so generous to those around him and his love for his church, he was bold and told you what he thought at any time and thats what i loved about him. A little rough around the edges sometimes but thats Dave. I’m sorry i’m not able to make the funeral services but frankie if you need anything let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. He was one of kind and will be missed.

    Frankie, Linda and family,

There are so many wonderful memories of time spent with Dave and with your family from the time
I was a little girl. Time spent at the lake, going to church , working in the hay, campaigning for Howard and later
for Dave. He was such a special person to our family and was always only a phone call away for
whatever we needed. When Dave was around there was always laughter and hugs.
Frankie, the friendship you and Dave extended to myself (and mom) all these years later has meant
so much. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers

To Frankie, Linda, Charles and the rest of the family:

I love you all so much and my heart is hurting for you. You guys know how special he was to me, I was sad to see him go but glad I got to give him a final kiss goodbye at the hospital.

Im definately going to miss my hug and kiss every Sunday at church, sometimes I was even lucky enough to get more than one and Miss Frankie never got jealous.

I have so many fond memories of him, loved his stories too. I think one of my fonest memories was the time Charles invited him to our Ag Mech class in high school to speak about road construction. I was one of 2 girls in a room full of boys and at the end before Grandpa was getting ready to leave, he said see that girl right there and pointed to me, thats my girlfriend and if any of you boys mess with her I will kick your @$#! Ha, ha 🙂 I was slightly embarassed for like .000005 seconds but I couldn’t help but laugh & got up and gave him a hug + kiss infront of the whole class.

Mr. Dave and his life story has been such an inspiration to me, I’m going to miss him every day but it makes it a little easier knowing that I will get to see him again one day in Heaven. I think it’s been raining so much lately because God is crying from laughing so hard with Dave, he’s probably definately keeping him on His toes. And Im sure on Monday morning Grandpa Dave and my Grandpa Baxter had a cup of coffee together 🙂

I love you all so very much, I know it’s hard to loose someone you love, especially someone who was so special to us. But he is in a place with no more pain and stuffering, so keep your heads up and just remember all the good times we got to share with him.

Frankie, Linda and the entire family,

I am so sorry for you loss. Dave and I are so grateful to have been able to spend a little time with David Saturday evening. I will miss his story telling abilities! Going to the lake will never be the same without being able to pop next door and see David or have you guys come sit with us for a while. His personality was as big as life itself and I have many great memories that I will cherish forever. I look forward to seeing the whole family on Saturday, I just wish it was under different circumstances.

    Our love to you all,
    Dave and Shelly (Noble) Oslie
