David John Francis, age 61, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham, Washington. He was born March 5, 1948 in St. Mary, Pennsylvania to Matthew and Viola Wiesner Francis.
David grew up in St. Mary, PA and after graduating from high school he served with the U.S. Marines from 1967 to 1972.
On September 10, 1972, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Mozzer in Mount Pocono, PA.
David owned and operated a janitorial cleaning service in Salem, NJ for a number of years. He enjoyed photography, hiking, bible study and was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God of Edmond, OK. He and Kathleen resided in New Jersey, New York, Texas, Hawaii, California, Arizona, and for the past 4 years in Sedro-Woolley.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Francis of Sedro-Woolley. Six brothers and sisters; Robert Francis of Madison CT, Grace Cuneo of St. Mary, PA, Charlotte Garvelli of Texas, John Francis of Mars, PA, Jim Francis of Redford Township, MI and Susan Herzin of St. Mary, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private Memorial Service will be held at the family home. Inurnment will be in the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. Memorials are suggested to the Philadelphia Church of God in Edmond, OK. Arrangements and services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
