Debra Ann Creager Ganske, 60, wife and eternal companion of Cliff Ganske of Sedro-Woolley passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012, in her home surrounded by family. She had struggled with melanoma brain cancer for several months.
She was born on May 5, 1952 in Ogden, Utah and was raised and attended school in Roy, graduating from Roy High School with the class of 1970. She then attended Weber State College.
Debra and Cliff were united in marriage on March 25, 1983, and recently celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary.
She worked for the Sedro-Woolley School District as a Registrar for 11 years, primarily on the Job Corp campus.
Debra was an accomplished toll painter and taught many people in the area in painting techniques. She was also a master knitter and quilter and enjoyed many crafts.
Debra is survived by her husband, Cliff; her daughter, Amelia Anne Ganske Lund her husband Erick and two grandchildren, Landon and Lily all of Sedro-Woolley; her brother, Roger Creager and his wife Rene of Roy, Utah; her sister, Priscilla Begay and her husband Ralph of Arizona as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Creager.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Sedro-Woolley Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 1122 McGarigle Road. Interment will be at the Milton Cemetery in Milton, Utah.
The family would like to thank all those who so lovingly supported Debra during her illness and request that donations in her memory be sent to Hospice of the Northwest in lieu of flowers.
