Donald Lloyd King, 92, of Burlington, Washington passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Don was born on March 5, 1930 in Burlington, WA and grew up in Concrete, WA. He graduated from Concrete High School in 1948.
Don was married twice: first to Berta McKrill in 1951, and then to Eileen Larson, recently celebrating their 44th Anniversary.
During his working years, Don began with the Great Northern Railroad, working in the Concrete, Seattle, and Anacortes offices. He then hired on at the Fledgling Anacortes Shell Refinery. Don spent the next 33 years there, retiring in 1985.
In retirement, he and Eileen became “snowbirds”, spending winters in Arizona and making many lasting friendships.
Don is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen of Burlington; son, Stephen King (Cheryl) of Sedro-Woolley; stepdaughters, Kelly Kutchick of Mount Vernon and Jennifer Blank of Denver, Colorado; stepson, Keith Larson of Burlington; six grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Irene King; sister, Frances Nutini of San Jose, California.
A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1:30pm, at Central United Methodist Church located at 1013 Polte Road, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284. His final resting place will be Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete.
