Donald Woody

Sunday, May 2nd, 2021

We wish to let all know of Donald Woody’s passing on May 2, 2021.  He was born June 30, 1938 to Sally Kate and Ruben Woody of Del Rio, Tennessee, and lived in Tennessee until 1958 when he moved to Skagit Valley, Washington.  Donald met Eloise “Sis” Galbreath and were united in Marriage in 1959.

They celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary in February 2021; had times of laughter, times of sorrow, but made it with the help of God.  Donald worked in a Shake Mill as a Resplitterman.  He loved horses with a passion for all to see and was a true cowboy.  He was a Horse Whisperer with a magic hand.  He loved people and helped all that he could.  One of his hobbies was photography; loved to take pictures.

Donald had three great kids, Ricky Woody whom preceded him in death, Nicky (Claire) Woody, Vicky (Richard) Guidinger; grandson, Steven (Reasa) Woody; great grandkids, McKenzie and Porter Woody.  Fred Lipsey is our extra boy.  Donald had lots of wonderful nieces and nephews in Washington, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and South Carolina.  He loved them all.  A Celebration of Life will be announced later on the Lemley website.  Share your memories of Donald and sign the online guest register.

Donald was a kind, generous, sweet (always had a candy for us) and just plain nice person. He was the kind of person you cross paths with in life that make a lasting impression. Kathy Handy Scott
