Donna Rae Fry, 81, a longtime resident of Skagit County, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at her home in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
She was born October 23, 1942 in Mount Vernon, WA, the daughter of Earl L. Ponton and Claudia L. Stewart. Donna went to Mount Vernon High School. She was an accomplished seamstress, and loved to garden. She liked classic cars, Elvis and the color purple. She enjoyed having a share in the ministry as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Donna’s faith in God’s promise, ‘He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore’ (Revelation 21:4), was very real to her and so we too hold onto this promise until we see her again.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Deena Visser and Gina Kammeyer-Fry and son in law Urban Visser; five granddaughters; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Earl Ponton, Prudy Hodgins and Bill Vermillion.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2 PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 410 Ball Street, Sedro-Woolley, WA.

Donna was my dear grandma, I remember visiting her at her little yellow house as a kid and I know how much she loved Jehovah.
I wish I could have visited you sooner grandma, but can’t wait to see you again soon in paradise.
