Doris E. Boyd

Doris E. Boyd

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015

Our precious beloved mom went to Heaven on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

She was Godly, full of faith and a prayer warrior. She looked forward to the day she would be free of pain and see Jesus. Everyone whose life she touched was made better.           She leaves behind her daughter, Susan Johnson, and son, Craig Boyd, in addition to numerous family and grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the Emmanuel Baptist Church Fireside room on Monday, November 23 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers please contribute to Emmanuel Baptist Church Children’s Ministry. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

  • Don and Denise Childs

Doris was such a special lady. From the moment we met her, we knew having her right next door would be a delight. Doris shared herself and her family with us, her love for the landscape, flowers, animals, birds and God, and was the kindest and most giving person I know. She always had a smile or a hug to give, and knew exactly when Don needed her fabulous custard pie. Doris treated us like family and loved our pets, she prayed for us and even shed a few tears for us. She was my constant friend, through thick and thin, for many years. We love and miss you, Doris. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Susan, Ron, Craig and family.

Doris was such a special neighbor in Sedro-Woolley! On her walks by our house, our at-the-time young children (Naomi, Karissa, and Elijah) used to run outside to visit her. This was a regular meeting for several years. She always had a listening ear about the ups and downs of their lives. She admired their drawings, writings, guinea pig, new puppy, frogs, etc. Her dogs, Suzie-Que and Joey, tolerated the puppy, but “Gramma Doris” faithfully adored him.
Our sympathies go to her family for their loss, but we celebrate her gain in Jesus Christ!
