Dorothy Jean Gibbs, age 74, passed away August 18, 2017.
Dorothy was born May 1, 1943, in Cullowhee, North Carolina, to Robert and Lucille (Deitz) Ensley. She moved to Washington State in 1952. On June 9, 1961 she married her High School sweetheart, Charles ‘Junior’ Gibbs. Together they had two children, Cheryl and Wes. They made their home here in Sedro-Woolley, enjoying motorcycle riding and boating. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She retired from the Skagit County Medical Bureau after 27 years.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Taylor (Brian); son, Wes Gibbs; five grandchildren, Ryan Taylor (Cayla), Lindsie Taylor (Vicki), Kelsey Kallerman (Justin), Elijah Gibbs and Emma Gibbs; three great grandchildren, Braxton, Brodric and Brewyn Taylor; two sisters, Jan Massey (Steve) and Carolyn Coble (Denny); five sister-in-laws, Linda Ensley, Jean Hill, Bertha Rogers (Chuck), Kathy Gallagher and Marti Queen (Dub). She also leaves behind two special friends, Diane Hammond and Al Kriens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles ‘Junior’, parents, Robert and Lucille Ensley, brother, Bob Ensley.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley. A time of visitation will be available Tuesday 9-5 and Wednesday, 9:00 to Noon at Lemley Chapel.

I have fond memories working with Dorothy at the Skagit County Medical Bureau, and it was fun having Dorothy and Charlie around at our office functions.
