Edith A. Tracy Leask, 88, a longtime Skagit County resident, passed away at the Evergreen Hospice Center in Kirkland, WA on Saturday, October 3, 2009.
Edith was born on July 18, 1921, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, the daughter of Ralph & Reva Riggles Tracy. She was raised and attended school in Sedro-Woolley, graduating from S-WHS with the class of 1939.
Over the years Edith made her home in Skagit and Snohomish counties where she raised her family and worked at a variety of business ventures. She also lived in Alaska for several years. In the mid 1970’s she made her home in Acme where she owned and operated the Acme Store until her retirement.
Edith was very artistic, always drawing things in her youth and at the age of 80 started painting, with her specialty being outdoor and mountain scenes, which she would give to her family and friends. She also played the piano, organ and ‘spoons’. She always traveled with her spoons and would join in when music was being played to show off this unique talent. She also enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Leslie, Don, & Glenn Tracy.
