Edmund J. Jason, age 94, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at home. He was born December 11, 1923 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Walerian and Bronislawa (Wroblewska) Jakubowski. Ed was an active parishioner of Saint Charles Catholic Church and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Sedro-Woolley Council #8672. He served in the US Army Air Corps, and then worked as a Flight Engineer for Pan Am Airlines. He was an avid fisherman and golfer.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Leslie and her husband, Milton Sloan, of Mesquite, Nevada and Cynthia and her husband, Larry Rieck, of Stanwood, Washington; granddaughters, Jennifer Copley and Lauren Sloan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Antoinette in 2016; brothers, Anthony Jakubowski and Paul Jay; sisters, Irene O’Donahue and Wanda Hardaker.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30, Monday, June 25, 2018 at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 935 Peterson Road, Burlington, with Father James Dalton, celebrating. A graveside service will follow the reception at church at 1:00 at Greenhills Cemetery, Burlington. Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of your choice.     Ed was will be missed. He was a mentor to me when I took up golfing at
    SG&CC in the late 1990’s. He was thankful for the many years he had
    enjoyed in retirement.
