Edward Allen ‘Stots’ Nick, a longtime Skagit Valley resident passed away Tuesday, May 20th as a result of an automobile accident at the age of 36 years. Eddy was born November 23, 1966 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Robert and Marcene Carlson Nick. He was raised in the Rockport/Concrete area and attended school in Concrete. Eddy was preceded in death by his mother Marcene Nick in 1980. Eddy was loved by many for his quick smile and friendly, caring personality. He was always ready to help a person with any project or problem. Eddy was often found under the hood of his or a friend’s car or playing pool, which was a favorite pastime. Yard work and landscaping was a passion. He also loved Chevy’s, boxing, playing cribbage with his friends and sawing shingles. He adored his daughters and had a close relationship with his sister, Mary.
He is survived by his two beautiful daughters Hayley and Heather Nick of Concrete, his fiance’ and soul mate Angie Boston of Birdsview and her two sons Andrew and Clayton Johnson of Lyman. His father Robert L. Nick of Concrete; brohers Bob Neigg and wife Debra of Concrete, Steve Nick and longtime girlfriend Cindi Cobb of Sedro-Woolley, George Nick and wife Sally Robinson Nick of Concrete. Sisters Mary Nick and fiance’ Daryl Webb of Lyman, and Cathy and Brenda of Portland, OR and many loved nieces and nephews and a very dear friend Vic Flores. The family would like to express special thanks to Lori Bertapelli of Concrete and Lisa Aynes of Concrete as well as many other close friends and community.
Graveside Services will be Friday, May 30, 2003 at 1:00PM at the Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete with Pastor Bruce Martin of the Concrete Assembly of God Church officiating. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. The family suggests memorials be made to the Concrete State Bank Memorial Trust for Hayley and Heather Nick or at the Concrete Eagles and various other locations. The family would like to invite all friends to a gathering follow the service at Mary and Daryl’s 31703 E. Main St in Lyman off Highway 20 at Pipeline Rd.
