Edward Richard Rieckers

Edward Richard Rieckers

Sunday, December 22nd, 2002

Edward Richard Rieckers was tragically taken from us and returned to his Lord on December 22, 2002. He was 24 years of age.
Eddie was born on July 25, 1978 in Mount Vernon, WA, the son of Edward R. Reickers & Mary Beth Webber. Eddie lived in many places in the Skagit Valley, from Concrete with his mother and step-father, to Day Creek with his father and to many others that had given him shelter, as Eddie was restless and never stayed in one place to long.
Eddie enjoyed hunting with his father as a teenager but fishing was in his blood and nothing excited him more than when salmon were running in the Skagit River.
Eddie knew Jesus as his Lord & Savior and now has an eternal place in Heaven, to be at peace and never restless again. He was a member of the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church and active in the Sedro-Woolley Home Group of A.A.
He is survived by his sister, Cassandra Rieckers. Brother, Vinnie Kucera, his step-father and friend, Vincent Kucera. His grandfather, Ted Rieckers. His aunts, Kathi Phillips Howard, Pattie Comack, Susan Niclai Bob, Maurine, Sheila and Terry. Uncles Mike Webber Jackie and Ricky Webber, ‘Uncle Ralph’ Muhlbeier and great-uncle Leslie Rieckers. Also numerous cousins from the Skagit Valley, Marysville and New York.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward ‘Big Ed’ Rieckers, his mother, Mary Beth Webber-Kucera and his grandmother, Cleo Rieckers.
John 13:36, Simon Peter said to him, ‘Lord where are you going” Jesus answered him, ‘I’m going where you cannot follow me now, but you shall follow me afterward.’ John 14:1, 2, Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would not have told you. I go and prepare a place for you.
Eddie your physical body was stolen from you, but your spirit remains with the Lord, creator of Heaven and Earth forever.
Memorials to the funeral trust established in Eddie’s name at the Sedro-Woolley Bank of America are suggested.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church on Thursday January 2, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Tim Hedberg officiating. Cremation and arrangements under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Share thoughts of Eddie and sign the online guest register at www. lemleychapel.com

I still think of you everyday, and i miss you. I often wonder what we’d be doing now if you were still here. I know you know how much i love you, and that i feel you watching over me. At times though i wish you were just here supporting me and believing in me as you always did. I miss you
