Elizabeth Betty” Rose Scott, age 88, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley, Washington, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017. She was born August 23, 1928 to James and Kathleen (Weathermon) Martin in Spokane, Washington. She grew up in Walla Walla with her best friend, Natalie Turner. Betty worked as a caregiver for Visiting Nurse until retiring in 1994. She lived in Sedro-Woolley, Samish Island, Alderwood Manor and Walla Walla. Betty enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, family picnics, long drives, spending time at her property at Lake Tyee and taking care of feral cats.
Betty is survived by her children, Randy (Julie) Scott, of Sedro-Woolley, and Janice (Stan) Koenig, of Sedro-Woolley; grandchildren, Sheila Murdock, Elizabeth Rose Christensen, Jacob Scott, Kimberly Krunich, and Jamie Maloney; great-grandchildren, Brandon Gasho, Andrew Scott, Jordan Murdock, Lindsea Murdock, Logan Maloney, Myah Maloney, Vincent Lount and James Krunich; great-great-grandchild, Piper Scott; cousin, Bonnie Connel; and her beloved Shitzu, Peaches.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen and James Martin.
There will be no formal services.
I love you grama. It has been a year now since you’ve gone. I still think about you every day.

Betty was the best Mother in law ever. You could talk with her about anything. I will miss her and our talks.
