Lindsay, Elmer older     Elmer Lorne “Uncle” Lindsay, 75, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on August 6, 2013 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

     He was born on June 3, 1938 in Wolf Point, Montana, the son of William & Bertha (Long) Lindsay.  Elmer was raised and attended school in Wolf Point.

     Elmer worked as a ranch hand on local farms for many years.  He moved to the Sedro-Woolley, Washington area in the early 1970’s and worked as a commercial fisherman.

    In 1984 he was united in marriage to Lucella Williams and together they made their home in Sedro-Woolley until her death in 2008.

     Elmer was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was loved and respected by his family and his peers and will be greatly missed.

     Elmer leaves his daughters, Martina Lange and her husband Bob of Indianapolis, IN, and Carla Ricker and her husband Ira of Wolf Point, MT; 3 grandchildren, Stephen & Rhiannon Lange and Iva Ricker; his brother, Pastor Danny Lindsay and his wife April and sister, Marjory Lindsay of Wolf Point, MT; 2 God-Children, Desiree Bright-Casmir & Michael Griffin; 2 sisters-in-law, Marilyn Rock and Barbara Williams; a brother-in-law, Merle Williams, Sr. and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lucella; 2 sisters, Donna Lindsay and Arlene Bottoms and 2 brothers, George & William Lindsay.

     Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Danny Lindsay and Nick Denunzio officiating.  Interment will follow at the Hamilton Indian Cemetery.
