Eric Michael Call

Tuesday, February 14th, 2023

Eric Michael Call, 54,  passed away unexpectedly on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023 in Sedro Woolley, WA.  Eric was born May 14, 1968 in Pocatello, Idaho, the oldest son of Mel and Ann Call.  He attended schools in Seattle and graduated from Kentridge High School and then attended Ricks College.  He relocated to Sedro-Woolley in 2004 and learned to love the serene beauty of Skagit Valley.  As an avid cyclist he logged thousands of miles in Western Washington.  He loved the outdoors and as a result found a successful niche in the landscaping trade.  He not only created and maintained client and family properties but was masterful in “beautifying” nature.  He could fix anything and had a knack for figuring out the problem when something was broken.  He had a sense of humor, was creative and possessed a great memory for detail.  In October 2020 he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer and had been receiving treatments since then.

He is succeeded by his parents, Mel and Ann Call of Sedro-Woolley; siblings, Dene’ Kleinz (Gary), of Auburn, Lori Call (Travis Colton), of Kenmore,  Ryan Call, of Mount Vernon, Tyler Call of  Sedro-Woolley; his daughter, Sarah; granddaughter, Abby, of Arlington; nephews and nieces, Pieter, Alisha (Nick), Sequoia, Sydney, Willow, Brady; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two siblings who died shortly after birth.

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 1122 McGargile Road in Sedro-Woolley.  All family and friends are invited.  Share memories of Eric and sign the online guest register.

Hi Mel and Ann. Eric did landscaping for me and we became good friends. He was such a light.
I was always amazed at how positive he remained and how hard he worked.
I’ve tried to reach him several times and only just learned of his passing. I’m heartbroken. My thoughts are with you both.
